GDS Committee Report Implementation Indefinite Strike By Postal Employees From 22-05-22018 GDS Committee Indefinite Strike By Postal Employees EXTEND FULL SUPPORT AND SOLIDARITY AIPEU-GDS(NFPE) has given notice for nationwide indefinite strike from 22nd May 2018 demanding immediate implementation of all positive recommendations of Kamalesh Chandra Committee Report on Gramin Dak Sevaks. All NFPE affiliated unions have also given call extending full support and solidarity to make the strike a grand success. Nationwide protest demonstrations will be held on 10th May 2018 in front of all offices of Department of Posts. Confederation of Central Govt Employees & Workers, National Secretariat calls upon all its affiliates and State / District C-o-Cs to extend full support and solidarity to the indefinite strike from 22-05-2018 and also to join the protest demonstration on 10th May 2018. A discussion on the report was held before the unions and the Department on March 2017. The officers of the postal services board had promised after discussion that the recommendations would be implemented within 6 months which was taken by the union. with gratitude. GDS Kamlesh Chandra Committee Recommendations will be implemented soon - Minister replied in Parliament on 27th December, 2017 Minister of State (IC) for Communications & Railways, Shri Manoj Sinha, in a written reply to a question on GDS Kamlesh Chandra Committee Report, in Lok Sabha on 27.12.2017 informed that a One Man Committee has been constituted to look into the salary structure, other service matters and problems of Gramin Dak Sevaks under the Chairmanship of Shri Kamlesh Chandra. The Committee has submitted its report to the Government. The salient features are given in the Annexure. The recommendations of the Committee have been considered by the Department. After getting the necessary approvals from all concerned, the recommendation of the Committee will be implemented.
