EMPLOYEES UNION URGES THE LAVASA COMMITTEE REPORT TO BE IMPLEMENTED BY THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT

Employees Union urges the Lavasa Committee report to be implemented by the central government A Jammu-based employees union on Sunday urged the Centre to implement the recommendations of the Ashok Lavasa Committee report ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls to benefit lakhs of lower class employees and pensioners. A high-level committee headed by the former Finance Secretary Ashok Lavasa submitted its report on allowances to 47 lakh government employees to Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in April 2017. “The delay in accepting the recommendations of the Ashok Lavasa Committee report by the central government has left the employees concerned,” president National Mazdoor Conference Subash Shastri said here. “We urge Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Finance minister to take a final decision in this regard before the announcement of the upcoming parliamentary elections,” he said. EPS PENSIONERS PROTESTING IN DELHI ON 27 FEBRUARY FOR THE MINIMUM MONTHLY PENSION

EPS Pensioners protesting in Delhi on 27 February for the minimum monthly pension All-India EPS-95 Pensioners Sangharsh Samiti will take out a march from the Jantar Mantar to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in Delhi on February 27 for the minimum monthly pension of Rs 7500 under the scheme. EPS-95 pensioners from all over the country have been agitating on the issue of raising their pension since the last three years, but the Centre has done nothing except giving hollow assurances, a statement said Friday. “As per a Supreme Court order, EPS pensioners should be given a higher pension. At present they are getting the pension in range of Rs 200 to Rs 2500 per month, which is meagre in view of rising inflation,” the Sangharsh Samiti’s Bhopal coordinator R A Dharkar stated. Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions Promotion on Public Rating 19 DEC 2018 The Government has no proposal under consideration to promote the Government officials based on public rating/feedback. Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare has informed that an “Aadhar-based Digital Life Certificate (DLC)” for pensioners was launched on 10th November, 2014. Aadhaar is used for authentication of pensioners.  As a result of this facility the pensioner is not required to present himself before his pension disbursing agency or produce other documents that he is alive. After generation of the DLC, the pension disbursing agencies integrated with the system will get access to the submitted DLC for processing and release of pension there after. Ministry of Labour & Employment Minimum Pension 17 DEC 2018 As regards Employees Pension Scheme (EPS), 1995, a minimum pension of Rs. 1,000/- per month has been prescribed with effect from 01.09.2014 for the pensioners under Employees Pension Scheme (EPS), 1995. In the case of Atal Pension Yojana (APY), depending upon the pension plan selected, each subscriber under APY shall receive a guaranteed minimum pension of Rs. 1000 per month or Rs. 2000 per month or Rs. 3000 per month or Rs. 4000 per month or Rs. 5000 per month, after the age of 60 years until his/her death. If the actual returns during the accumulation phase are higher than the assumed returns for minimum guaranteed pension, such excess will be passed on to the subscriber. FAQ FOR PENSIONERS REGARDING DIGITAL LIFE CERTIFICATE (DLC) Frequently asked questions for Pensioners regarding Jeevan Pramaan / Digital Life Certificate (DLC) What is Jeevan Pramaan/Digital Life Certificate (DLC) ? Jeevan Pramaan is a biometric enabled Aadhaar-based Digital Life Certificate for pensioners. Jeevan Pramaan i.e DLC is generated for individual pensioner using his/her Aadhaar number and Biometrics. How is this different from traditional Life Certificate issued by Govt Officers/  Agencies? For Jeevan Pramaan (DLC) the pensioner is not required to present himself/ herself personally before the Pension Disbursing Officer. DLC does not have to be submitted physically to the Pension Disbursing Agency ( Bank/Post Office etc ) as it is available to them digitally and. is automatically processed by the Pension Disbursing Agency. Pensioners are required to submit their life certificate – CPAO Notice GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF FINANCE DEPARTMENT OF EXPENDITURE CENTRAL PENSION ACCOUNTING OFFICE TRIKOOT-II, BHIKAJI CAMA PLACE, NEW DELHI – 110066 Notice for the Pensioners All the pensioners are required to submit their life certificate to the authorised banks for pension in the month of November each year for continuation of their pension. To facilitate the pensioners and as a welfare measure, biometric machines have been installed in Grievance Cell, CPAO for the pensioners who want to submit their life certificate online through Jeevan Praman. Pensioners can contact CPAO reception for availing the service. For physically handicapped pensioners CPAO will liaison with the Banks and the pensioners to get their life certification done.
