The undersigned is directed to refer to this Ministry’s letter RBE No. 132/2018 dated 10.09.2018 (F. Rate of Dearness Allowance applicable w.e.f. from 01.01.2018 to Railway employees GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (RAILWAY BOARD) RBE No. 58/2018 S.No. PC-VI/385 No. PC-VI/2008/I/7/2/1 New Delhi, dated 12.04.2018 The GMs/CPO(R), All Zonal Railways & Production Units, (as per mailing list) Sub: Rate of Dearness Allowance applicable w.e.f. from 01.01.2018 to Railway employees continuing to draw their pay in the pre-revised pay scale/ grade pay as per 6th Central Pay Commission. Please refer to this Ministry’s letter of even number dated 17.11.2017 (S.No. PC-VI/379, RBE No.169/2017) revising the rates of Dearness Allowance w.e.f. 01.07.2017 in respect of railway employees continuing to draw their pay in the pre-revised pay scale/ grade pay as per 6th Central Pay Commission. 2. The rate of DA admissible to railway employees of above category shall be enhanced from the existing rate of 139% to 142% w.e.f. 01.01.2018. 3. The provisions contained in Paras 3,4 & 5 of this Ministry’s letter of even number dated 09.09.2008 (S.No. PC-VI/3, RBE No.106/2008) shall continue to be applicable while regulating Dearness Allowance under these orders. 4. The undersigned is directed to refer to this Ministry’s letter RBE No 137/2017 dated 06.10.2017 (F. No. PC-VII/2016/I/7/2/1) on the subject mentioned above and to say that the President is pleased to decide that the Dearness Allowance payable to Railway employees shall be enhanced from the existing rate of 5% to 7% of the basic pay with effect from 1st January, 2018. 2.
